Quick commerce unicorn Zepto has achieved a significant milestone, with its 10-minute food delivery service, Zepto Café, crossing 1 lakh daily orders. CEO Aadit Palicha shared the update on social media platforms X and LinkedIn, highlighting that the business is approaching a $100 million annualized GMV run-rate with a steady-state gross margin of nearly 50%.
This achievement comes just two weeks after Zepto Café hit 75,000 daily orders, demonstrating rapid growth. Previously, Palicha revealed that the platform was launching over 100 new cafés per month, and had already surpassed 30,000 daily orders at an earlier stage.
Acknowledging the challenges in scaling the business, Palicha noted on LinkedIn that the execution has been highly complex, with several critical hurdles still being worked through. However, he credited the team’s persistence, driven by strong customer demand and long-term retention trends.
Zepto Café, initially a part of Zepto’s quick commerce platform, was later launched as a standalone app to capitalize on the rising demand for 10-minute food delivery. Palicha called this just the beginning, stating, “Miles to go before we sleep, but I believe this is the beginning of a revolution in India’s QSR industry.”
