Ahmedabad-based restaurant point-of-sale (PoS) startup Petpooja has raised Rs. 137 crore in a funding round led by Dharana Capital, with participation from Ashish Gupta (Helion Ventures), Abhiraj Singh Bhal and Varun Khaitan (Urban Company), Raghav Chandra, and Mukund Kulashekaran (Urban Company CBO). The round included a mix of primary and secondary transactions, though the company has not disclosed a detailed breakdown.

Founded in 2011 by Parthiv Patel and Apurv Patel, Petpooja provides a cloud-based SaaS platform for restaurants, offering payroll, order management, invoice automation, and other operational solutions. The platform currently powers over 1 lakh restaurants across India, the Middle East, the US, and Africa, spanning 140+ cities and processing 7 million orders daily.

The fresh capital will be deployed to expand Petpooja’s product portfolio, accelerate AI-powered automation, and strengthen customer support operations. The startup competes with companies such as SupplyNote and POSist.

This Series C round comes nearly four years after Petpooja raised $4.5 million in a Series B led by Aroa Ventures, with existing investors including B2B e-commerce unicorn Udaan and GVFL.

Petpooja aims to address operational challenges faced by small and medium-sized restaurants, tapping into India’s growing food service market, projected to reach $125 billion by 2029.
