B2B startup Sedna HoReCa has raised Rs. 50 crore in equity funding from Anicut Capital to transform India’s fragmented hospitality supply chain. Founded by Aknamed co-founders Mahadevan Narayanamoni and Saurabh Pandey, Sedna aims to become India’s first integrated, tech-led solutions platform for the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) industry.

The company plans to expand to 20+ cities in the next year, offering a three-pronged solution across SaaS, commerce and logistics, and food services. Key software offerings include SupplyNote (inventory management) and BillNote (POS), developed by AdCount Technologies, whose founding team has now joined Sedna. Its distribution network (Vyap) and logistics arm (SupplyLink) aim to address longstanding issues like high procurement costs, erratic fill rates, and inventory losses.

Sedna is also entering the ready-to-cook and ready-to-serve space, led by chef Sanjaya Bhan, with a new food production facility coming up in Bengaluru.

The funding underscores rising investor interest in digitizing the HoReCa ecosystem, amid increasing demand for efficiency and consistency across commercial kitchens, D2C brands, and restaurant chains.
