McCain Foods India has entered the café segment with the launch of its first Signature Café at Max Mall in Sector 129, Noida. The outlet marks the frozen food company’s first consumer-facing café format in India.
The new café brings McCain’s frozen snacks and potato-based products into a wider range of food formats, including burgers, hot dogs, frankies, loaded fries, quick-service snacks, milkshakes, ice creams and desserts. The menu is centred around the brand’s potato-based offerings and includes items such as the Mexi-Crunch Burger, Korean Veggie Crunch Burger, Loaded Fries, samosas, crispers, desserts and sundaes.
Aditya Krishna, Managing Director at McCain Foods India, said, “McCain has always enabled consumers to enjoy restaurant-like snacks and food experiences at home, made with high-quality ingredients they can trust. The McCain Signature Café takes this promise beyond the home, bringing to life the breadth and versatility of our portfolio through a wide range of recipes, flavours and formats. It gives consumers an opportunity to experience familiar McCain favourites in new ways, while enabling us to delight both consumers and customers with consistently high-quality, restaurant-style food experiences.”
With the café, McCain is looking to give consumers a new way to experience its products beyond home consumption. The format also highlights the versatility of its frozen food portfolio by incorporating its products across different meals and occasions.
Located within one of Noida’s retail and entertainment destinations, the Signature Café also marks McCain’s entry into the foodservice and quick-service restaurant space. The company said the outlet is the first step towards exploring a wider consumer-facing expansion across selected locations.
