ITC Limited, the company behind well-known brands such as Sunfeast and Aashirvaad, is preparing to expand its FoodTech division across India within the next three to five years. The portfolio, which includes Aashirvaad Soul Creations, Sunfeast Baked Creations, and ITC Master Chef Creations, has established a strong foothold in southern India and is now poised to scale operations region by region.
According to Rohit Bhalla, Head of ITC’s FoodTech Business, the company is targeting western India as its next key growth area. As part of its broader expansion strategy, ITC plans to launch its third Sunfeast Baked Creations Café in Bengaluru’s Jayanagar, further strengthening its presence in the region.
The FoodTech initiative blends ITC’s established FMCG brands with innovative culinary concepts. Aashirvaad Soul Creations offers authentic North Indian cuisine, while ITC Master Chef Creations focuses on gourmet dishes. Sunfeast Baked Creations extends its cloud kitchen expertise into cafés with a unique “baker-first” approach, emphasizing artisanal baked goods.
Highlighting the growth potential of the Indian food service market, valued at Rs. 5.5 lakh crore, Bhalla noted the rapid expansion of the food delivery segment, currently worth $8–9 billion and projected to grow to $35–40 billion by 2030. “We see strong long-term potential in this space,” he stated.
This strategic expansion underscores ITC’s commitment to leveraging its culinary expertise and consumer insights to tap into the evolving Indian food service market.
