No added sugar. No sweeteners. No preservatives. Just carbonated water and natural fruit flavour. SIX6R launches in Classic, Lemon and Peach, priced at just Rs. 79 a can.
As Indian consumers increasingly question the sugar, sweeteners and additives in their everyday beverages, a new sparkling water brand is looking to carve out space between traditional soft drinks and increasingly functional beverage choices. SIX6R has launched in India at Rs.79 a can, combining bold flavours, distinctive packaging and a short ingredient list aimed at a younger generation seeking better-for-you choices without giving up taste or personality.
Available in Classic, Lemon and Peach, SIX6R is made with carbonated water and fruit flavour, with no added sugar, no sweeteners and no preservatives. The brand is positioning its proposition around simplicity, offering consumers an alternative to conventional carbonated beverages that often depend on sugar or substitute sweeteners to deliver taste.
The launch comes as the beverage category undergoes a shift in consumer expectations. While “sugar-free” has become a familiar proposition across the market, consumers are also paying closer attention to what replaces sugar in these products. SIX6R is attempting to differentiate itself by keeping its formulation straightforward and putting its ingredient philosophy at the heart of the brand.
The brand is positioned as an accessible premium offering, pairing its clean-label proposition with a bold, youthful visual identity. Rather than presenting sparkling water as a niche or purely functional product, SIX6R is attempting to make it a lifestyle-led beverage with a stronger cultural and social appeal.
The brand began building that positioning even before its official launch. SIX6R made its pre-launch debut at the St. Xavier’s Malhar Festival, where its consumer activation drew strong interest among young audiences. Since then, the brand says it has built a 20,000-strong social community, with its energetic content and distinctly Indian tone of voice helping it establish an identity beyond the beverage itself.
At the centre of SIX6R’s proposition is a simple premise: the beverage aisle needs a new habit. The brand believes consumers should not have to choose between taste and a cleaner ingredient profile, particularly when they are looking to reduce their sugar intake.
“SIX6R was created because we saw a very real gap in the beverage aisle. If you are trying to stay away from sugar, it can be surprisingly difficult to find a drink that is genuinely clean, tastes great and still feels exciting. We wanted to change that. SIX6R is made with carbonated water and fruit flavour, with no added sugar, sweeteners or preservatives, making it diabetic friendly. We created it with the intention that even people who need to be mindful of their sugar intake can enjoy a drink without the usual sugar spike and crash associated with many beverages. For us, this is not about making another beverage, it is about creating a better everyday drinking habit,” said Karan Nohria, Co-Founder, SIX6R.
For Rashi Oberoi, Co-Founder, SIX6R, however, the proposition extends beyond ingredients. She sees the brand as an expression of contemporary Indian culture and youth attitude, with the can, communication and product designed to work together.
“SIX6R was never meant to be just another beverage brand. It is an expression of the confidence, energy and attitude that India does so well. We wanted to create something that feels unmistakably Indian and genuinely relevant to young consumers, from the way it looks and tastes to the way it speaks. SIX6R is about making a choice that feels good without feeling restrictive. It is the new habit India is looking for, one that brings together great flavour, a clean proposition and a whole lot of personality. We’re a country that’s practically addicted to sugar, and our beverage aisle is broken: if you’re off sugar, it’s genuinely hard to find something clean to drink. SIX6R is the answer for all of those people. It’s the new habit India has been looking for,” she said.
With its Rs. 79 price point, bold packaging, three flavour variants and growing digital community, SIX6R is entering a category where the battle is increasingly shifting from simply offering a cold, fizzy drink to creating a proposition consumers actively identify with. The brand is betting that a combination of ingredient simplicity, flavour and cultural relevance can help sparkling water move beyond its traditional niche.
SIX6R is currently available direct to consumers through its website, with delivery across India, and has rolled out across Mumbai through Nature’s Basket and Society stores from September 1, 2026. As it expands its retail footprint, the bigger test for SIX6R will be whether its clean-label proposition and youthful identity can turn initial curiosity into a repeat consumption habit – and, ultimately, make sparkling water a more mainstream choice for India’s next generation of beverage consumers.
