ICC Western Region Sets Up Agro–Food Processing Leadership Team; Adesh Kumar Named Chair

The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), which marks its centenary year in 2025, has announced the formation of a dedicated leadership team for the ICC Western Region – Agro Food Processing Committee, aimed at steering the region’s agro–food processing vision with a sharp focus on innovation, industry collaboration, and scalable impact.

The newly constituted team will be chaired by Adesh Kumar, widely known in India’s food retail ecosystem as the “Masala Man”. Kumar currently serves as Director – Business Development & Innovation at Keya Foods International Pvt. Ltd. and brings with him deep, hands-on experience across modern retail and FMCG, having earlier worked with Reliance Retail, Aditya Birla Retail, Spencer’s Retail, and Food Bazaar.

Supporting him as Co-Chairs are Leelavathi Gupte, Founder of Vibrant India and HoReCa Consultant Outreach Partner for Anuga Select India, as well as Culinary Partner at Food Affair – Mewa India, and Atul Marne, Co-convenor of KISAN, India’s largest agri exhibition, and Board Member & Secretary of the Institution of Maharashtra Agricultural Technologists Alumni Association, College of Agriculture, MPKV.

With this leadership team in place, the ICC Western Region’s Agro Food Processing Committee aims to translate ideas into action, align innovation with on-ground industry needs, and play a more decisive role in shaping the future of India’s food and agri-processing ecosystem.
