Travel Food Services Ltd (TFS) has secured a license from Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) to set up, operate, maintain, and manage food & beverage outlets, a lounge, and a bar in the Security Hold Area of the Domestic Terminal (T1) at Cochin International Airport.
Under the contract, TFS will run 11 quick-service restaurants (QSRs) and one lounge at the terminal. The license spans five years, with an option to extend for an additional two years as per the Letter of Award.
Cochin International Airport, the 8th busiest airport in India, handled over 11 million passengers in fiscal 2024-25. The airport is also recognised as the first in the world to be fully powered by solar energy, achieving power neutrality.
Varun Kapur, MD & CEO, TFS, stated that this win expands the company’s presence to 14 of India’s 15 largest airports and reflects its “franchise strength and technical expertise.” In response to the announcement, TFS shares saw a positive reaction, rising approximately 1.5-2.0% in trading, as investors welcomed the expansion of its airport concession business.
