Bengaluru-based restaurant technology platform UrbanPiper has officially unified its global brand identity following the 2023 acquisition of U.S.-based Ordermark. The rebranding of “Ordermark by UrbanPiper” to “UrbanPiper” marks the company’s strategic expansion into the U.S. and Canadian markets, building on its vision to streamline restaurant operations worldwide.

Founded in 2016, UrbanPiper raised $24 million in Series B funding in 2022 to drive global growth and enhance its technology. The platform integrates with over 50 delivery platforms and 350 POS systems, simplifying operations for restaurants. In India, UrbanPiper processes 800,000 food delivery orders daily, accounting for 20% of all online orders in the country.

The U.S. market is a key focus for the company, with ambitious plans to expand its reach from 5,000 to 50,000 restaurants by 2027. “UrbanPiper is built by a team that truly understands the challenges restaurant owners face,” said Ashish Saxena, President of UrbanPiper. “With our launch in the U.S., we aim to achieve 10x growth over the next three years. As a homegrown company, it is immensely rewarding to see our vision empower restaurants globally to scale and thrive in a competitive industry.”

UrbanPiper is also providing existing Ordermark customers with a seamless upgrade to its ecosystem, offering enhanced control, smarter analytics, and uninterrupted service, ensuring a smooth transition. This milestone underscores UrbanPiper’s commitment to empowering restaurants with innovative tools to navigate the evolving food tech landscape.
