PepsiCo India is expanding its portfolio of zero-sugar and mid-calorie beverages, alongside snacks featuring ingredients such as whole grains and millets, as it responds to evolving consumer preferences around taste and nutrition.
More than 70% of the company’s beverage portfolio currently comprises zero-sugar or mid-calorie options, including Pepsi Black, 7UP Zero Sugar, Gatorade Zero and Nimbooz. PepsiCo India aims to increase the share of these offerings to 90–100% over time through product reformulation and further innovation.
In its packaged foods business, the company is focusing on product development and ingredient transparency across its portfolio. Its brands include Lay’s, Kurkure, Doritos, Cheetos, Uncle Chipps, Quaker and Red Rock Deli.
PepsiCo restaged its Quaker brand in 2026 to highlight its protein, fibre and wholegrain content. The portfolio also includes Red Rock Deli baked variants with 40% less fat and Kurkure Jowar Puffs, which brings millet-based snacking into the mainstream packaged foods category.
The company has also highlighted the absence of artificial flavours and colours across its convenient foods portfolio, reflecting its focus on ingredient transparency alongside established product offerings.
PepsiCo India is also providing nutritional information on product packaging, including energy content, serving sizes and the contribution of key nutrients to recommended dietary allowances.
The measures form part of a broader portfolio strategy that combines reformulation, ingredient diversification and nutritional labelling to offer consumers more choices across tastes and consumption occasions.
Through these initiatives, the company is continuing to develop its beverages and packaged foods businesses while adapting its product range to changing consumer expectations.
