HungerBox has appointed David Edward Raj K as Managing Director – Food Services & Culinary Innovation, bringing extensive experience across food services, culinary innovation, operations, entrepreneurship, and hospitality. In his new role, David will lead the company’s food services and culinary innovation initiatives, with a focus on strengthening operational capabilities, developing differentiated food experiences, and driving business growth across the company’s food service operations.
David brings a strong track record of combining culinary expertise with business and operational leadership. Before joining HungerBox, he served as Director – Operations & Culinary Innovation at Elior India, where he led pan-India operations, P&L management, workforce strategy, client relationships, and business transformation. During his tenure, he played a key role in scaling the business from Rs 30 crore to Rs 400 crore, while driving culinary innovation and operational excellence across the organisation.
His entrepreneurial experience includes co-founding Megabite Food Services, where he built and scaled a premium B2B food services business across India. This experience further strengthened his expertise in developing food service concepts, managing business operations, and creating commercially viable solutions for institutional and corporate customers.
David’s hospitality career spans several leading names, including House of Derekh | House of Tapre’, Front Edge Academy, Leela Palace Kempinski Bangalore, Grand Hyatt Mumbai, Park Hyatt Goa, Holiday Inn Downtown Dubai, Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi, and Taj Coramandel. He was also part of the pre-opening teams at Grand Hyatt Mumbai, Park Hyatt Goa, Holiday Inn Downtown Dubai, and Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi, gaining hands-on experience in culinary operations, hospitality setup, service excellence, and large-scale food experiences.
