FSSAI test broken wheat products for excessive chemicals in Tamil Nadu

Must Read

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has initiated testing on wheat products, specifically Samba broken wheat, produced by several major firms in western Tamil Nadu, according to a report by the Indian Express.

This action comes in response to allegations of excessive chemical use for preservation, exceeding the permissible limits set by the FSSAI.

Samples have been collected from manufacturing units in Coimbatore and other districts across the state, including Tiruppur and Erode. This has raised concerns among regular consumers, particularly those with health issues like diabetes, who consume broken wheat recipes daily.
