Krishival Foods Limited has appointed Vivek Kumar Jain as CBO, effective October 23, 2026, bringing a consumer goods veteran with over 25 years of experience across Nestlé and Tata Consumer Products. The appointment comes as the company looks to strengthen its position in the consumer foods market, with a focus on healthy snacks and ice cream.
Jain will lead the company’s business strategy and growth agenda, with responsibilities spanning profitability, product portfolio development, category management and distribution expansion. His mandate will cover domestic and international markets, with a focus on strengthening the company’s presence across general trade, modern trade, e-commerce, quick commerce and exports.
His appointment brings experience in building consumer businesses and expanding market reach at a time when food companies are increasingly looking to diversify sales channels, deepen distribution and respond to changing consumer purchasing habits.
Jain spent 18 years at Nestlé, where he held sales and business leadership roles across India and Thailand. The experience gave him exposure to different consumer markets and business environments. He subsequently spent seven years at Tata Consumer Products, where he contributed to the expansion of modern trade and e-commerce capabilities, alongside efforts to grow the company’s export business.
At Krishival Foods, this experience is expected to support the development of its consumer foods platform, particularly as the company works to expand its product offerings and reach more consumers through multiple retail channels.
The company operates across two segments – healthy snacks and ice cream – and is focused on building its business through an integrated sourcing model, manufacturing capabilities, distribution infrastructure and cold-chain network. These capabilities are important to its growth plans, particularly in categories where product availability, supply-chain efficiency and distribution reach influence market penetration.
Expanding across general trade, organised retail and digital channels will be central to building a wider consumer base. While traditional retail remains an important route to market for packaged foods, e-commerce and quick commerce offer additional opportunities to improve product accessibility and respond to demand for convenient purchasing.
Jain’s responsibilities will also include exploring opportunities to expand the product portfolio across domestic and international markets. Strengthening product and category management will form part of this effort, as the company seeks to build a more scalable business while maintaining a focus on profitable growth.
Jain holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration in Human Resources and Finance from AMS, Dehradun. His additional qualifications include programmes in artificial intelligence-led product management from IIT Roorkee and digital marketing and analytics from IIM Mumbai, along with a general management certification from SDA Bocconi.
With the appointment, Krishival Foods is adding an experienced consumer goods leader to its management team as it works to scale its healthy snacks and ice cream businesses, broaden distribution and develop new growth opportunities across retail channels and markets.
