Britannia Industries has announced changes to its senior leadership, elevating its current chief financial officer, N Venkataraman, to deputy managing director and Ramamurthy Jayaraman as the new CFO. The appointments will take effect from October 1, 2026.

Venkataraman, who has been with Britannia since April 2007, will step down as CFO and continue as a whole-time director and key managerial personnel. In his new role, he will oversee finance, strategy, legal, secretarial and IT functions, working alongside CEO and Managing Director Rakshit Hargave on the company’s transformation agenda.

He has more than 38 years of experience and previously handled finance functions at Eicher Motors and Hindustan Aeronautics. At Britannia, he has also led business, commercial, legal and secretarial functions, along with cost-efficiency initiatives.

Jayaraman, who currently serves as Vice President – Corporate Finance, will take over as CFO and key managerial personnel. He will oversee Britannia’s entire finance function, including financial planning and analysis, taxation, treasury, shared services and business commercial. He has been with Britannia for 15 years and has held several finance roles at the company. A qualified chartered accountant and company secretary, he has around 22 years of overall experience and previously worked with PwC and Deloitte.

The leadership changes come as Britannia continues to reshape its senior management under Hargave, who took charge as CEO and MD in December 2025.
