McCain Foods has elevated Abhishek Gupta to the position of Director – Procurement, India. Gupta announced his new role through a LinkedIn post. In his expanded role, he will lead the company’s procurement function in India, with a focus on strengthening sourcing strategies, supplier partnerships, cost efficiencies, and procurement capabilities to support the company’s business growth.
Gupta brings around 13 years of professional experience across procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management. He has been associated with McCain Foods for more than five years, during which he has taken on leadership responsibilities across the company’s procurement function.
Prior to his elevation, Gupta served as Head – Directs and Co-Manufacturing Procurement at McCain Foods, where he was responsible for managing procurement across direct materials and co-manufacturing partnerships. His experience in these areas has given him a strong understanding of sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and procurement strategy within the food industry.
Before joining McCain Foods, Gupta worked with Walmart and Leighton Asia, gaining experience across procurement and business operations. His career across multiple organisations has helped him build expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, commercial planning, and supply chain operations.
