This has marked the brand Mezcalita’s fourth outlet after a huge success of its Churchgate, Bandra, and Bengaluru locations. The new Borivali cantina is located on the rooftop of Sky City Mall , bringing the bold flavours, spirited culture, and lively energy of Mexico to the heart of the suburb – proving Sky City Mall’s commitment to offering distinctive culinary experiences while expanding Mezcalita’s growing presence in India’s premium casual dining landscape.
At the heart of Mezcalita’s offering is a menu that showcases the diversity of regional Mexican flavours. Bringing this culinary heritage to life is Mexican Chef Jonatan Torres Muñoz, with over 25 years of experience who works alongside the Mezcalita team to deliver an authentic dining experience in India. Mezcalita adds a distinctive global flavour to the destination’s curated mix of restaurants and social spaces.
Designed as a vibrant neighbourhood hangout, the restaurant blends authentic Mexican cuisine, agave-forward cocktails, immersive design, and the convivial spirit of a traditional cantina, offering visitors yet another reason to spend more time at the mall beyond shopping and entertainment.
Alongside its much-loved cantina favourites, the new outpost introduces a dedicated selection of Jain Sabores and an extensive vegetarian menu, ensuring there is something for every palate. Guests can indulge in signature dishes such as Chip & Dip Méxicana, Chilaquiles, Street Cart Corn, Habanero Muerte Picante, handcrafted tacos, burritos and tortas, as well as hearty mains like Fideo Seco, Flautas Ahogadas and 24-Hour BBQ Pork Ribs. The experience is rounded off with decadent desserts including Tres Leches and Cinnamon Churros.
Complementing the food is Mezcalita’s signature cocktail programme, a celebration of Mexico’s iconic agave spirits. Featuring tequila- and mezcal-based creations inspired by the spirit-making journey, the cocktail menu combines traditional influences with contemporary mixology. Signature serves include Cha-Chinga, Oaxaca to Osaka, La Pomela, and the brand’s popular Margarita Pitchers, designed for sharing and social occasions.

Guests are welcomed by a hand-painted façade, vibrant murals by artist Senkoe, handcrafted décor elements, colourful crochet installations, and a striking 68-foot serape-inspired canopy that transforms the rooftop into a festive cantina setting.
