Reliance Consumer Products to invest Rs. 768 crore in first food park in Andhra Pradesh

Reliance Consumer Products Ltd. (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, will invest Rs. 768 crore to establish its first food park in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The park will be located in Brahmanapalli village, Orvakal region. The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Committee has cleared 120 acres for the facility. An adjacent 80-acre plot has been allocated for a beverages facility.

Development will happen in two phases. Phase one will have annual capacities of 23,000 tonnes of spices, 14,400 tonnes of noodles and pasta, and 3,800 tonnes of snacks. Phase two will add 32,900 tonnes of confectionery and chocolates, 36,500 tonnes of rice, and 120,000 tonnes of atta (wheat flour). The combined project is expected to generate about 500 jobs.

This project is part of RCPL’s broader Rs. 40,000 crore strategy to roll out multiple food parks across India within the next three years. The company expects the initiative will help it reach ₹1 lakh crore in annual revenue within five years.
