DMart has appointed Lalit Ahuja as its Chief Operating Officer. He announced his new role through a LinkedIn post. In his new position, he will oversee the company’s operations, with a focus on driving business efficiency, strengthening execution across its retail network.
Ahuja brings more than two decades of leadership experience across the retail, FMCG, consumer goods, and technology sectors. Throughout his career, he has built a strong track record in sales leadership, business strategy, commercial excellence, and market expansion, working with some of the world’s leading consumer brands.
Prior to joining DMart, Ahuja spent more than 10 years at Zydus Wellness, where he held several leadership roles across the business. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President – India and Subcontinent (Sales), leading the company’s sales strategy and commercial operations across key markets. During his tenure, he played an important role in driving business growth, strengthening distribution networks, and enhancing market execution.
Before Zydus Wellness, Ahuja held leadership positions at Apple, Mars, Godrej Consumer Products Limited, Dabur, Philips, PepsiCo, General Mills, and DCC. His diverse experience spans multiple consumer categories and business functions.
