Good Farmer Food Concepts, the Bengaluru-based parent company of artisanal specialty coffee brand Maverick & Farmer Coffee and quick-service concept Square Burgers & Co., has raised $1.5 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by investment firm CreedCap, with participation from Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna, former Indian cricket captain Rahul Dravid, and Meraki Sport & Entertainment.

The funding represents the company’s first external capital raise and will be deployed to expand its national café footprint, invest in research and development and production infrastructure, and strengthen its retail vertical focused on specialty coffee SKUs and home-brewing equipment.

Founded in 2024 by Ashish D’abreo, Sreeram Gangadharan, and Tej Thammaiah, Good Farmer Food Concepts operates an integrated model spanning coffee cultivation, product innovation, retail, and hospitality. Its Maverick & Farmer Coffee brand follows a farm-to-cup philosophy, with experiments conducted on its 140-acre estate in Pollibetta, Coorg. The company currently runs seven cafés across Bengaluru and Goa, with plans to open outlets in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Goa, and Bengaluru, targeting 10 locations by year-end.

The refreshed capital and strategic investor lineup underscore investor confidence in the company’s focus on quality, community-driven experiences, and long-term brand building in India’s specialty coffee and health-forward quick-service food segments.
