Patanjali has launched Asia’s largest orange processing plant, the Patanjali Mega Food & Herbal Park, at MIHAN, Nagpur. The facility was inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, and Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis.

The state-of-the-art food park aims to revolutionize Nagpur’s orange cultivation sector by offering sorting, grading, and cold storage facilities to farmers. These advancements will help them store and sell produce at better prices, significantly boosting their income. Patanjali also plans to increase orange yield per acre from the current 4-5 tonnes to 25-30 tonnes using advanced farming techniques.

With an initial investment of Rs. 1,000 crore and an additional ₹500 crore planned for expansion, the facility is equipped with cutting-edge machinery sourced from India and abroad. It boasts a processing capacity of 800 tonnes of oranges per day, positioning it as a key hub for India’s citrus industry.

Swami Ramdev, co-founder of Patanjali, highlighted the plant’s commitment to producing 100% pesticide-free, preservative-free, and sugar-free orange juice, catering to health-conscious consumers globally.

The mega facility is expected to drive farmer prosperity, accelerate industrial growth, and establish Nagpur as India’s leading orange processing hub.
