Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) has announced key leadership changes within its packaged beverages division. Puneet Das, who served as President – Packaged Beverages for India and South Asia for over eight years, has stepped down from his role effective November 3, 2025.
Taking over the mantle is Sharat Verma, who joins TCPL as President – Packaged Beverages, India & South Asia, including Organic India. Verma brings more than two decades of experience at Procter & Gamble, where he last held the position of Senior Vice President & General Manager for Fabric Care across India, the Middle East, and Africa. During his tenure, he oversaw a business worth approximately US $0.5 billion and delivered around 15 percent CAGR in the category.
TCPL also announced that Prashant Parameswaran, President, Soulfull Business, will step down for personal reasons, effective December 15, 2025.
The changes come at a time when TCPL is driving strong growth across its portfolio. For the second quarter of FY26, the company reported a net profit of Rs 406.46 crore, up from Rs 367.21 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations grew 18 percent YoY to Rs 4,965.90 crore, led by robust performance in both domestic and international markets. The India business contributed Rs 3,122 crore, while international operations stood at Rs 1,288 crore.
Industry observers note that Verma’s appointment signals TCPL’s intent to strengthen its packaged beverages portfolio and accelerate growth in a competitive and price-sensitive segment. His background in scaling large consumer businesses and managing complex markets is expected to bring renewed momentum to the company’s beverages strategy.
