Olive Garden, the globally recognised American Italian casual dining brand, is set to enter the Indian market with its first restaurant in Aerocity, New Delhi. The launch will take place at 4 Worldmark, marking a strategic expansion by Gourmet Investments Pvt Ltd, which will operate the brand in India and plans phased rollouts across the Delhi NCR region.
Ramit Bharti Mittal, Executive Chairman & Director, Gourmet Investments, described the initiative as more than a typical restaurant launch: “Olive Garden is more than a restaurant — it’s a feeling. It’s the comfort of familiar flavors, the joy of gathering around the table, and the kind of generous hospitality that makes you feel like family.” He framed the opening as a step in bringing world-class hospitality and iconic international brands closer to Indian diners.
Brad Smith, President, Darden International & Franchising, the parent company of Olive Garden, added, “We are very excited to continue expanding Olive Garden globally and, together with our franchisee Gourmet Investments, open our first Olive Garden in India,” underscoring confidence in local execution and the brand’s appeal.
The New Delhi restaurant will feature Italian-inspired décor, indoor and outdoor seating, and a menu that blends Olive Garden’s classic American Italian offerings with adaptations for local preferences. Signature items, including the never-ending soup or salad and breadsticks will be part of the Indian dining experience, alongside vegetarian and non-vegetarian mains.
The entry of Olive Garden reflects continued interest among global restaurant brands in India’s growing full-service dining segment, where family-oriented and experiential formats are gaining traction.
