Marking its entry into the capital, Selva has opened at World St. at Worldmark, Aerocity, further cementing World St.‘s position as a curated culinary and social destination.
It is the third venture from first-generation restaurateur Sarthak Sidana, founder of Underdoggs and Sere, with concepts built across ten cities over the past decade. The brand’s arrival further enhances the district’s growing appeal as a vibrant social and culinary hub.
Selva offers a contemporary take on Mexican cuisine, drawing from regional Mexican traditions and Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei influences shaped by over a year of culinary research across Mexico and Asia.
The menu features Tlayuda, Nori Tacos, ceviches, tiraditos, house-made tortillas, and robata-fired seafood and meats, combining authentic techniques with bold, balanced flavours. Complementing the dining experience is Selva Maya, an intimate after-dark cocktail den inspired by Mesoamerican mythology, with an innovative beverage programme by the team behind Goa’s Hideaway Cocktail Bar.
“Selva’s arrival is a strong reflection of World St.‘s growing stature as India’s most sought-after culinary destination. We have always envisioned World St. as a space that brings the world’s most distinctive dining experiences to Delhi. As World St. continues to welcome celebrated brands, we remain committed to making this promenade a true benchmark for experiential dining in the country,” said SK Sayal, MD & CEO, Bharti Real Estate.
“Selva is a culmination of our deep-rooted love & years spent travelling, researching and understanding cuisines & cultures across Mexico, Peru, Japan and beyond. We wanted to challenge the way Mexican & Nikkei cuisine is understood in India. This wasn’t about recreating what we had experienced elsewhere, but about understanding the cuisine at its roots and finding our own expression of it, one where the food, cocktails, design and hospitality come together to create an experience that feels both rooted and unexpected,” said Sarthak Sidana, Founder, Selva.
