Subway, the global leader in freshly made, customizable sandwiches, has opened 33 new stores across 17 cities in India in Q1 FY26. This achievement marks yet another chapter in the brand’s accelerated growth journey in the country, taking the store count to over 900.

India remains a key region in Subway’s global operations, both in terms of long-term investments and partnerships. The brand had opened 15 new stores in the previous quarter. Subway is on track to add 100+ new stores in FY26. The upcoming launches will also include entry into new cities, including Tier 2 and 3 markets.

India is one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing markets globally. The strong new-store addition performance this quarter highlights the growing consumer appetite for fresh, customizable food and the trust consumers have in the Subway brand. “We are excited to enter new markets, strengthen our penetration in existing ones, and continue delighting our customers with Subway’s delicious, fresh, better food choices. With a robust expansion pipeline and continuous product innovation, we’re optimistic about Subway’s growth journey in India,” said Tarun Bhasin, CEO, Culinary Brands.

With every new store, Subway continues to uphold its values of quality, innovation, and exceptional customer service, ensuring every dining experience is both memorable and satisfying.

The brand’s growth is fueled by its sharp focus on consumer needs and its commitment to innovation. The brand continues to offer a dynamic menu that reflects evolving tastes and preferences. Recent launches like the Sub Cravers value range starting at Rs. 79, Fresh Salads with 1.5x protein, Hot & Cheesy Signature Subs (featuring 1.5x filling, extra cheese, and served piping hot), and an all-new Breakfast Range (including egg, cheesy potato, and chicken sandwiches with freshly brewed coffee) have been well received by customers.

Looking ahead, Subway remains committed to continuing its growth trajectory and delighting customers with innovative products and exceptional experiences.
