Satchmo Foods, a diversified packaged food company, has launched a new Ready-to-Cook (RTC) range aimed at delivering fresh, homemade-style staples at scale while maintaining hygiene, quality, and affordability.

The new range is designed to address a common consumer challenge—accessing fresh, homemade-quality food without spending significant time on preparation or relying on expensive or heavily processed alternatives. With this launch, the company aims to bridge the gap by offering products that combine homemade taste, consistent quality, clean ingredients, and competitive pricing.

The newly introduced products include Plain Chapati, Masala Chapati, Methi Chapati, Poori (available in packs of 10), along with Idli–Dosa Batter in 1 kg and 2 kg packs. Bulk formats are also available for institutional and HoReCa buyers. Pricing has been structured to remain accessible at scale, with Plain Chapati priced at ₹8 per piece, Masala Chapati at ₹11 per piece, Methi Chapati at ₹12 per piece, Poori at ₹5 per piece, and Idli–Dosa Batter at ₹71 per kg.

Satchmo Foods says the products are minimally processed, preservative-free, and made with carefully selected ingredients to ensure hygiene, safety, and authentic homemade taste. The company positions the range as a value-driven alternative in the ready-to-cook category by combining traditional preparation methods with consistent quality standards suited for institutional buyers.

The brand’s immediate focus is on the B2B segment, catering to corporate cafeterias, restaurants, five-star hotels, hospitals, manufacturing units, educational institutions, government offices, and catering companies. At the same time, the company plans to gradually expand into the B2C market, targeting urban households looking for convenient yet high-quality daily food staples.

“Our Ready-to-Cook range addresses the everyday need for convenient, wholesome, and hygienic food, whether at home or in institutional kitchens,” said Ramesh Karur, Executive Director of Satchmo Foods. “With this launch, we are focused on delivering consistent, homemade-quality food at a price point that offers real value, without compromising on taste, hygiene, or ingredients. We remain committed to serving both retail consumers and institutional partners with solutions that balance quality, affordability, and reliability at scale.”

The launch is supported by the company’s newly inaugurated 15,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility on Magadi Road in Bengaluru. The plant is equipped with precision-controlled, energy-efficient systems designed to ensure uniformity, hygiene, and home-style taste across production batches.

The facility currently produces over 24,000 chapatis and 5,000 kg of idli–dosa batter daily, and has been built with scalability in mind to support future product additions such as snacks, sweets, ready-to-eat items, and regional specialties including Holige (Puran Poli).

Operations at the facility comply with GMP, FSSAI, and ISO standards, supported by traceability systems and rapid-response protocols. The company noted that the plant also contributes to local employment generation and skill development.

Over the next two to three years, Satchmo Foods plans to strengthen its presence in the B2B institutional segment, expand across major Indian metros, and gradually enter the consumer packaged foods market, aiming to build a trusted portfolio of everyday staples for Indian households.

Satchmo Foods, a diversified food company offering high-quality packaged foods, snacks and ready-to-cook/eat favourites, has announced the opening of its new manufacturing facility on Magadi Road, Bengaluru. The location has been strategically selected for its strong logistics ecosystem and seamless connectivity, enabling faster and more efficient distribution across the region.

The 15,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art plant currently produces Chapati, Masala Chapati, Methi Chapati, Poori and Idli/Dosa Batter. It is equipped with intelligent, precision-controlled systems that ensure uniformity, hygiene and flavour consistency across every batch.

The facility’s daily production capacity includes 5,000 kg of Idli/Dosa Batter, over 24,000 Chapatis, 1,000 Holiges, 3,000 Jamuns, 200 kg of Boondi, 200 kg of Kara Mixture and 300 kg of vegetable gravies and curries—ensuring consistent supply while retaining a home-style taste.

Designed with future scalability in mind, the facility marks the first step in Satchmo Foods’ broader expansion strategy, with plans to establish six additional plants across categories such as snacks, sweets and savouries. The plant incorporates energy-efficient machinery engineered to reduce manual intervention, minimise wastage, optimise gas and power consumption, and maintain mass-production consistency. All operations comply with GMP, FSSAI and ISO standards, supported by strict traceability systems and rapid-response protocols for emergency situations.

“Our new manufacturing facility represents our first milestone in our journey to bring dependable, delicious and hygienic food to every household,” said Ramesh Karur, Executive Director, Satchmo Foods. “This plant has been built not just to establish production, but to elevate how we operate—through precision-controlled systems, energy-efficient equipment and processes that drastically reduce wastage and human dependency. It gives us the capacity to innovate across multiple categories and scale responsibly while staying true to our values of quality, safety and community-focused growth. We see this as a long-term investment in our consumers, our people and the future of Indian food manufacturing.”

The new facility further strengthens Satchmo Foods’ end-to-end manufacturing infrastructure, enabling smoother workflows, quicker dispatch cycles and enhanced supply-chain visibility. With upgraded monitoring systems and streamlined operations, the plant is well-positioned to support higher production volumes, meet surge demand and deliver consistent quality to both retail consumers and institutional partners.
