<p><strong>bigbasket,</strong> a TATA Enterprise, has introduced a new way for customers to shop by enabling grocery purchases directly within ChatGPT using UPI payments. With this integration, users can browse, select, and pay for groceries without leaving the ChatGPT interface. The initiative places bigbasket among the first platforms in India to participate in this pilot, reflecting its ongoing effort to make online grocery shopping simpler and more accessible through emerging digital tools.</p>



<p>This comes as part of a partnership by OpenAI with India’s <strong>National Payments Corporation of India </strong>(NPCI) and fintech firm Razorpay, which enables UPI payments directly through the AI chatbot. Through this integration, customers can now search for grocery items, receive intelligent product suggestions, and complete their purchases from bigbasket without leaving the chat. The experience is designed to make everyday grocery shopping more intuitive, frictionless, and accessible, all within a natural conversation flow powered by AI.</p>

<p>The initiative builds on bigbasket’s continued focus on leveraging technology to improve the customer journey from personalized recommendations and instant reordering to smarter payments and faster deliveries. With its 10-minute delivery service available in major cities, customers can now complete their order through ChatGPT and have essentials delivered almost instantly, from daily groceries to fresh fruits and vegetables.</p>



<p>This integration builds on bigbasket’s vision to combine convenience, technology, speed, and trust, reinforcing its leadership in India’s quick commerce and digital retail space.</p>
