Delhi’s food and nightlife scene welcomes a fresh, vibrant destination with the launch of IKI & GAI. The all-day diner brings together flavour-forward global plates and meticulously crafted cocktails under one roof, capturing spontaneity, good company, and unforgettable evenings—all balanced between charm, chaos, and comfort.

The venture is led by Sarthak Batra and his uncle Vikrant Batra, two generations of hospitality expertise combining their passions to create an immersive day-to-night experience. Spread across 1,000 sq ft in Sangam Courtyard, RK Puram, the space effortlessly shifts from a sunlit, relaxed daytime eatery to a lively, spirited hub after dark.

GAI, curated by Sarthak, is a bartender’s bar where craftsmanship meets curiosity. The menu celebrates the classics with precision: the Picante delivers the perfect kick, the Paloma feels like sunshine in a glass, and the Espresso Martini energises the room. Signature cocktails like Dadi Issues and Brush Hour push creative boundaries while remaining approachable.

“For me, GAI is about sparking curiosity in every sip. We wanted to create cocktails that are strong, playful, and unpretentious, just like the evenings we imagine here,” shares Sarthak Batra, co-founder, IKI & GAI.

On the culinary front, IKI reflects Vikrant’s three & half decades of experience and his instinctive understanding of what diners truly crave. The menu leans into sharing, conversation, and indulgence, with dishes that are bold, expressive, and confidently unfussy. Begin with the Asparagus Salad or the Silky Smooth Edamame Soup, then move into antipasti like the Salmon Tataki and the irresistible Cauliflower Steak. You’ll also find artisanal pastas such as Al Ragu, craft pizzas like the Contadina, and desserts like the Coffee Cream Toast to round out the experience.

“Food is at the heart of every great evening,” says Vikrant Batra. “At IKI, we focus on flavour, fun, and sharing. Our goal is to create dishes that match the energy of the room—whether it’s a lively night with friends or a quiet afternoon catching up over lunch.”

By day, the venue exudes a warm, easygoing charm, sunlight spilling over conversations best enjoyed with an aromatic cup of coffee. As night falls, the atmosphere shifts effortlessly—laughter gets louder around live music, cocktails flow, and strangers often leave as friends. IKI & GAI invites guests to unwind, be themselves, and sink into evenings that are spontaneous, lively, and genuinely memorable.

Cafe Delhi Heights is set to expand its footprint across India, with plans to scale up to 50 outlets by the end of the fiscal year 2025 (FY25). The brand, which currently operates 46 outlets across 16 cities, is working towards an ambitious goal of reaching 120 locations and generating Rs. 5 billion (approximately $58.3 million) in revenue by 2028, according to a report by ETHospitalityWorld.

Founded in 2011, Cafe Delhi Heights has grown from a single café in Delhi into a well-known national chain, with a presence in key metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram. The next phase of its expansion strategy includes penetrating Tier 2 cities such as Jaipur and Meerut, thereby tapping into new and underpenetrated markets. Alongside geographical growth, the brand is focusing on enhancing its menu and creating richer in-café experiences to cater to evolving consumer tastes.

In addition to expanding its core café business, Cafe Delhi Heights is also diversifying through the launch of several new ventures. These include Savara, a coastal dining concept; Ikigai, Iki & Gai, a culinary experience inspired by Japanese philosophy and aesthetics; Comfort Bakehouse, a gourmet bakery and delivery brand; and JLB (Juicy Lucy Burgers), a brand dedicated to gourmet burgers. Each concept is designed to reflect the company’s commitment to innovation while addressing varied dining preferences.

Reflecting on the brand’s journey, founder Vikrant Batra said, “As we commemorate 14 years of Café Delhi Heights, we reflect on a journey driven by passion, people and purpose. Our mission has always been to build spaces where food, warmth, and conversation come together effortlessly. The next chapter is about reaching new cities and communities while keeping our spirit intact.”

With its robust expansion roadmap and diversified offerings, Cafe Delhi Heights is positioning itself as a modern, multi-format food service brand that continues to resonate with India’s evolving dining culture.
