Korean-headquartered global brand GOPIZZA launches its newest venture, Gochujang, an authentic Korean street food restaurant, on the 7th of June, 2025, at the Phoenix Mall of Asia, Bengaluru. With this opening, GOPIZZA officially adds a third brand to its umbrella, along with Dalkomi—a K-dessert cafe.

For the first time, food lovers can experience the complete Korean culinary journey – a one-stop destination – from GOPIZZA’s innovative Korean pizza and Gochujang’s authentic street food to Dalkomi’s indulgent Korean desserts, under one roof. GOPIZZA is creating India’s most comprehensive Korean food destination where every craving meets its perfect match – a little something for everyone.

Named after Korea’s iconic fermented red chilli paste – the heart of Korean street food culture – the “GO” prefix in ‘Gochujang’ is also a nod to parent brand GOPIZZA’s continuous expansion of Korean culinary experiences across India.

Both brands pilot first in India before going global. “India is a key market in our global growth strategy,” said Jaewon Lim, founder and CEO, Global GOPIZZA. “We’re actively seeking a master franchise partner and aim to launch 100 outlets across GOPIZZA, Gochujang, and Dalkomi by FY 2026. Our focus is to create integrated spaces where customers can enjoy all three brands under one roof — delivering a complete Korean food experience with operational efficiency.”

Gochujang brings to India its first-ever Korean QSR brand specializing in K-street food. From cheesy corn dogs that stretch for days to fiery tteokbokki and soul-warming ramen bowls, Gochujang serves authentic Korean street food classics that would make Seoul street vendors proud.

“GOPIZZA’s journey in India has shown us how much the Indian palate loves Korean cuisine,” added Mahesh Reddy, CEO, India, GOPIZZA. “With Gochujang, we’re offering a truly authentic Korean street food experience. From a single pizza brand to a multi-brand Korean food powerhouse, GOPIZZA currently operates 60+ outlets across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.”

Right next door to Gochujang, Dalkomi – GOPIZZA’s Korean dessert brand opens its second location after a widely successful pilot launch at the Kempegowda International Airport. Spanning 650 sq ft, the launch of both brands next to each other is the start of creating the 3-brand Korean food hub – from spicy, soupy, to sweet, in one seamless experience. Dalkomi and Gochujang are all set to integrate into all GOPIZZA outlets nationwide, for both dine-in and delivery.

With high footfall, diverse demographics, and strong visibility, the Mall of Asia was chosen as the ideal location to launch these brands, making Korean cuisine more accessible and exciting than ever before.

Korean-original GOPIZZA has launched India’s first authentic Korean dessert brand, Dalkomi. This brand is all set to make its debut at T1 Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, on 16th December. With a name that means “sweet” in Korean, Dalkomi is a sister brand under the GOPIZZA umbrella, arriving on the streets of international corners to introduce everyone to traditional and popular Korean desserts.

Largely through its barbecue and ramen, Korean cuisine has gained immense popularity across India. However, Korean desserts have remained largely unexplored. Dalkomi aims to cater to India’s growing love for the K-culture and its collective sweet tooth by introducing Indians to the first-ever authentic Korean dessert corner. This new venture brings the Korean experience and iconic treats that many have only witnessed through their screens when watching K-shows, videos, and movies. Dalkomi will offer an array of signature treats like the Bungeo-ppang (fish-shaped pastries), Kkwabaegi (twisted donuts), and Tanghulu (fruit candy), as well as modern creations like Punyangi (Korean dancing pudding) and Dosirak Cake (bento cakes) Bubble Tea, Milkshakes, Coffee, Gelato – all those that are currently trending in Korea.

Spanning over 150 square feet, Dalkomi is strategically located at the airport to capture the attention of global and local travelers. In this high-traffic international hub, the store’s eye-catching, pink theme with vibrantly colored interiors provides a cute ambiance with a ‘sweet’ experience to stop and indulge. Beyond the fresh desserts, the store features a unique Hanbok Photo Zone at the entrance, providing customers with traditional Korean attire to immerse themselves in the culture while enjoying their delicious desserts.

“We are excited to bring Dalkomi to India and offer travelers a taste of authentic Korean desserts like never before,” said Mahesh Reddy, CEO of GOPIZZA India. “Dalkomi celebrates the growing global interest in Korean culture and caters to India’s love for indulgent, innovative sweets. With its visually stunning and traditional flavors straight from the streets of Korea, Dalkomi is set to capture the hearts and palates of the residents.

Riding on cultural momentum, this debut store marks the first step in Dalkomi’s broader expansion strategy. The brand has set a target of 50 stores in key metro cities, airports, and existing GOPIZZA belts by the end of FY 2025. With a focus on high-quality ingredients, innovation, and visual appeal, Dalkomi aims to redefine premium desserts and set a new industry benchmark.

Popular South Korean HQ Pizza brand, GOPIZZA, has announced its first container-model outlet in Bengaluru, located at LITBOX, Whitefield. The model is a novel approach to efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable expansion for the company.

The new outlet, housed within a compact 150 sq ft container, signifies a strategic move by GOPIZZA to maximize space efficiency while preserving the comforting and rustic atmosphere that pizza enthusiasts love. “The decision to embrace the container model was more of trying to take GOPIZZA back to its roots rather than attempt something new,” said Mahesh Reddy, CEO, GOPIZZA India.

“GOPIZZA first began as a food truck in the streets of Seoul, South Korea, so this container model presents the same versatile business setup, ranging from 50 sq ft to 1000 sq ft. It also aids as a cost-effective approach to strategically combat the rising real estate prices and space constraints in tier 1 cities. As GOPIZZA aims to reach its 100-outlet mark by the end of 2024, container models will play a pivotal role in achieving this milestone on time,” he added.

The space-optimized, economical and minimalistic approach of a container outlet allows GOPIZZA to explore various locations and experiment with untapped, revenue-generating areas, giving this model an edge over brick and mortar stores. In addition, container outlets significantly reduce the initial store setup costs, the capital expenditure, as well as streamline the setup process. The rapid setup of the container outlet, taking only 3-5 days, is a remarkable improvement compared to the 2-3 months typically required for traditional brick-and-mortar outlets.

The numerous benefits like a low CAPEX, lesser rents, and better operational efficiency is what prompted GOPIZZA to add container outlets to its existing verticals to help fuel its expansion. With the estimated success of container models, the brand’s expansion plans include focusing 10%-15% of its strategy on container outlets, with a targeted time frame of 1 year to establish its presence in 15 cities across India.

In terms of longevity, the container model boasts a life expectancy of around 10 years, ensuring sustained operational integrity that aligns with GOPIZZA’s commitment to sustainable growth.
