7-Eleven offers one-stop convenience to customers who are always on the go, providing instant solutions through ready-to-eat food, beverages, and daily essentials.

Founded as an icehouse storefront in Dallas, Texas in 1927, the Japanese-owned brand currently operates more than 84,000 convenience stores across over 20 countries globally and it generates nearly a third of its revenue from Asian markets.

Today, the store chain is wholly owned by Japan-based Seven and I Holdings Co. Ltd., according to the brand’s official website. In India, 7-Eleven is operated by Reliance Retail, which launched the brand’s first store in the country in Mumbai in 2021.

This newly established store marks the third Artisan Pantry establishment in Mumbai, succeeding the initial launch of Spencer’s Retail’s gourmet venture at Phoenix Palladium, Lower Parel, Mumbai, in November 2023. Following suit, the second Nature’s Basket Artisan Pantry opened in Mumbai, which is located in Bandra, and is a refreshed iteration of a previous Nature’s Basket outlet. Currently, Nature’s Basket manages a total of four Artisan Pantry outlets, with three located in Mumbai and one in Kolkata.

Spread over 9,200 sq.ft., the new store is a haven for food connoisseurs, featuring an array of exquisite breads, global cheeses, custom chocolates, a truffle bar, and numerous other gourmet delights. The specially curated sections in the new store feature a wine cellar, cheese room, chocolate factory, truffle to nut bar, farmer’s market, salt station, tearoom, baked artisanal bread counter, live honey counter, exotic fresh meat, a live cooking gourmet studio named The Good Food Cafe and a global dining area named Chef’s Table.

Encompassing an area of 9,200 square feet, the newly inaugurated store is a sanctuary for culinary enthusiasts, offering a diverse selection of premium provisions. Within its confines, patrons can explore an assortment of delicacies including artisanal breads, international cheeses, bespoke chocolates, a truffle bar, and an assortment of other gourmet indulgences. The meticulously curated sections within the premises boast a wine cellar, cheese enclave, chocolate atelier, truffle and nut bar, farmer’s market, salt emporium, tearoom, artisanal bread counter, live honey dispensary, exotic butcher’s selection, a dynamic culinary studio aptly titled “The Good Food Cafe,” and an elegant global dining area known as the “Chef’s Table.”

Nature’s Basket, the wholly owned subsidiary of Spencer’s Retail and member of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group headquartered in Kolkata, has outlined its strategic expansion initiative for FY24-25. The company aims to introduce approximately five new Nature’s Basket outlets and three to five Artisan Pantry stores. These expansions are not limited to Mumbai and Kolkata but extend to diverse geographical locations including Bengaluru, the National Capital Region (NCR), and Pune.
